Kuwait’s foreign minister discusses ties with Iraqi, Iranian officials

KUWAIT: Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya received a letter on Wednesday from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Abbas Araghchi, regarding the close bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields.

This came during Minister Al-Yahya’s meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Totonji, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters.

Separately, Al-Yahya, accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, met with Iraq’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammad Bahr Al-Uloom, during his official visit to Kuwait.

The meeting addressed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields. The parties also discussed regional and international developments and the latest issues affecting the region. — KUNA
