KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the General Fire Force headquarters on Tuesday evening, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.
Upon his arrival, His Highness was received by Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, along with Chief of the General Fire Force Major General Talal Al-Roumi. On the occasion, His Highness the Amir delivered a speech, in which he expressed his appreciation for the General Fire Force’s vital role in safeguarding lives and property.
The following is the text of His Highness the Amir’s speech: “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may the best prayers and most complete peace be upon His faithful Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and upon his family and companions. In the esteemed company of my brother, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and our honorable brothers, I am pleased to meet with the distinguished members of the General Fire Force, both military and civilian, to exchange warm congratulations and blessings on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

May God Almighty grant our beloved homeland and its loyal people continued progress and prosperity, and may He bless our Arab and Islamic nations with goodness and peace. My brothers and sons, leaders, officers and members of the General Fire Force, you are the frontline guardians of our nation’s safety, entrusted with protecting lives, national assets and both public and private property. We deeply appreciate your dedication, great sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to your national duties, which you fulfill with the highest level of competence and professionalism.
We reaffirm our steadfast support for the General Fire Force’s efforts to enhance its capabilities and operational readiness. It is our aspiration that the force continues to advance toward regional leadership in fire prevention, protection and community security. We closely follow the force’s developments and achievements, guided by strategic planning rooted in scientific methodologies, ensuring optimal utilization of resources while keeping pace with evolving challenges in prevention and civil protection.
We also commend Fire Force’s leadership for prioritizing human capital — the backbone of the force — by investing in education, training, and specialization through academic collaborations. Additionally, we take pride in Kuwait’s successful hosting of the Sixth Arab Regional Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction last February, with the participation of 22 Arab nations and numerous international organizations, underscoring our nation’s commitment to regional and global safety initiatives.” — KUNA
