Kuwait, Lebanon discuss ways to empower women

NEW YORK: Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr Amthal Al-Huwailah discussed Tuesday with Lebanese First Lady Nemat Aoun ways to enhance the role of women and empower them within the framework of enhancing relations between the two countries.

The two parties stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of supporting families and children and promoting joint initiatives that contribute to the development of Arab societies. They also agreed on the need to empower women and enhance their role in community development, which would contribute to achieving social cohesion and enhancing family stability in both countries. — KUNA
