KUWAIT: Kazma handball club defeated Al-Fahaheel 33-28 on Saturday, while Kuwait defeated Khaitan 34-27 in the preliminary handball league matches for the current season 2024-2025, which were postponed for Kuwait and Kazma clubs to participate in the 27th Asian Clubs Championship, which qualifies for the World Championship (Super Globe 2025) in November in the Qatari capital, Doha.
At Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex, Kazma achieved a difficult victory over Al-Fahaheel 33-28, as the first half was equal and ended in a draw (14-14). In the second half, Kazma regained its vitality and widened the goal difference to snatch an important victory. In the second match Kuwait defeated Khaitan with a score of (27-34).
Kuwait ended the first half with an uncomfortable lead (15-13). In the second half, the experience of Kuwait’s players appeared, as they were able to widen the goal difference against Khaitan, to achieve a new victory for Kuwait, confirming its leadership of the league. With today’s matches, the postponed matches for both Kuwait and Kazma ended, and the General Handball League matches will resume on March 21 for the 12th round, as Al-Sulaibikhat meets Al-Fahaheel and Al-Qurain meets Al-Nasr at the opening of the round. — KUNA
