Kuwaiti missions abroad celebrate

KUWAIT: The Kuwaiti embassies in Mauritania, Tanzania, Greece and Singapore have celebrated the country’s 64th National Day Anniversary and 34th Liberation Day. The ambassador to Mauritania, Bdah Al-Dosari, whose mission held a reception to mark the occasions, conveyed his congratulations to the top leaders. His remarks came during a gathering hosted by his mission to celebrate the occasions, bringing together elite figures, officials and diplomats.

In Tanzania, the mission held a similar gathering attended by local leaders. The acting charge d’affaires, Musaed Al-Ddbaibi, extended his felicitations to the leaders on the national days. In Greece, Ambassador Mansour Al-Elaimi noted during a comparable reception that the occasions coincided with the 60th anniversary of establishing relations between Kuwait and Greece. In Singapore, the Kuwaiti mission in the Asian nation also celebrated the occasions and the ambassador, Ahmad Al-Shraim, conveyed his congratulations to the top leaders. He also noted that the two countries mark this year the 40th anniversary of establishing bilateral diplomatic ties.

Additionally , the Kuwaiti embassies in Australia and Sweden have held celebrations marking the 64th and 34th anniversaries. The Kuwaiti Embassy in Australia organized a reception in the capital, Canberra, to celebrate the occasions, which was attended by many Australian officials, Arab and foreign diplomats, representatives of international organizations and Kuwaiti students. Addressing the event, the embassy’s Deputy Charge d’Affaires Thamer Al-Khurainej congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the government and people of Kuwait on the country’s national festivals.

He recalled the historical role played by Australia in the liberation of Kuwait from the Iraqi invasion in 1991, while commending the deep relations between both countries. In Sweden, the Kuwaiti Embassy held a reception on the occasion of Kuwait’s National and Liberation Days. Several Swedish officials and accredited ambassadors and diplomats were present at the meeting. The Kuwaiti Embassy’s Deputy Charge d’Affaires Counselor Abdullah Abu Sheiba conveyed heartfelt congratulations and greetings to the Kuwaiti political leadership on the national celebrations. — KUNA
