KUWAIT: The Kuwait Shooting Sport Club (KSSC) organized Sunday a celebration on the occasion of the national holidays of the State of Kuwait in the presence of a large number of ambassadors accredited to the State of Kuwait and a number of members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Kuwait and their families, which included about 170 diplomats, at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex.

President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Duaij Al-Otaibi said that the club’s organization of this visit in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the deanship of the Kuwaiti diplomatic corps comes with the aim of participating in the country’s celebrations of this dear occasion with the club’s members.

Al-Otaibi expressed the club’s pride in this visit, which comes with thanks and appreciation to Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in the country, Ambassador of Tajikistan to the State of Kuwait Dr Zabidullah Zabidov for sharing the joys of the club on this occasion, which is dear to every Kuwaiti.

Al-Otaibi extended his congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people on the occasion of the national holidays.

For his part, Ambassador Zabidov said that this visit comes from the keenness of the members of the diplomatic corps working in Kuwait to celebrate the glorious February holidays in Kuwait, considering that it was an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and cultures among the participants.

Zabidov emphasized that the participation of such a large number of diplomats and their families is evidence of the great love that Kuwait and its people enjoy from the members of the diplomatic corps, expressing his admiration for the great capabilities of the club, which enabled its shooters to achieve great achievements at all levels.

For his part, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Kuwait, Zhang Jinawei, praised this initiative that brought together the diplomatic family with the members of the club, adding that he greatly enjoyed the distinctive visit and meeting Kuwaiti athletes in the shooting game.

Ambassador Jinawei said that such visits would strengthen the friendly relations between the Chinese and Kuwaiti peoples, especially in the field of sports, and congratulated Kuwait’s leadership, government and people on the national holidays.
