Kuwait hosts padel's FIP World Cup in 2025: Bader Al-Kharafi

Following its successful hosting of the Premier Padel Kuwait P1 tournament and earning the best Premier Padel award, Kuwait has won the bid to host padel's FIP World Cup in 2025.

Kuwait will be hosting the inaugural FIP World Cup tournament in November 2025, with support from BNK Holding. Hosting the event, which is considered the first team-based world tournament in FIP history, is a historic moment in Kuwait's padel history.

Considered the highest level of competition in padel, the tournament features 176 players from around the world. The winning team will earn the title of 'world champions' for two years, and receive 2,000 points in the FIP ranking.

The Premier Padel Kuwait P1 tournament, organized by BNK Holding, had won the best Premier Padel award, beating Monaco, Madrid and Mar del Plata.

Bader Al-Kharafi, BNK Holding's Chairman, congratulated Kuwait on being chosen to host the global event. "This achievement reflects the great progress Kuwait has achieved in the sport," he said. "It also reflects our commitment to improve the sport infrastructure and hosting global sports events." He hoped that the tournament lives up to Kuwait's reputation, noting that hosting the event puts Kuwait on the map of world sports and spreads the sports culture among future generations.

Al-Kharafi also thanked the FIP for the opportunity to host the event, as well as the interior and health miniseries and everyone who made the Premier Padel Kuwait P1 tournament a success. Furthermore, he thanked Mohammad Jassem Al-Marzouq, Mohammad Mustafa Al-Marzouq and all staff at Tamdeen Real Estate Company who built the venue for the tournament (The Arena Kuwait, Rafa Nadal Academy and Grand Hyatt Kuwait Hotel).
