Entrepreneurship programs support business owners

KUWAIT: The Public Authority for Youth announced the start of registration for the ‘Entrepreneur Support’ program within the ‘Kuwait Technical Entrepreneurship Complex’ programs, which it conducts in partnership with Boeing to support young entrepreneurs who own private businesses in technical and technological fields and wish to enter the market.

Acting Deputy Director General of the Authority for Projects Sector Dr Musaed Al-Kuraibani said in a press statement on Sunday that the program aims to empower ambitious entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary skills and guidance to discover the best ways and communication opportunities to make their projects successful. Al-Kuraibani stated that the program includes four main stages.

The first stage involves holding an intensive training camp for two weeks in Kuwait starting June 15, which includes training workshops, lectures and seminars to explain the basics of business, marketing, financial planning, and guidance for projects. The second stage will begin in early July and will continue for three months, with its activities taking place remotely and including periodic and intensive meetings for participants focused on development and guidance to create opportunities for networking and necessary knowledge.

He pointed out that the third phase will occur in person next October for a week, focusing on refining business ideas, followed by a competition to present the ideas of all participants to choose the best projects for five individuals. These five will then join an entrepreneurial networking journey in the fourth phase in the United Kingdom next November, providing them with the opportunity to meet leading British and international experts in a high-level entrepreneurial environment.

He called on Kuwaiti youth who are pioneers in technological and technical fields, aged 18 to 35, to learn more about the program through the Authority’s social media channels, indicating that applications will continue to be accepted until April 6. He stated that an introductory meeting about the program will be held next Tuesday at the Kuwait National Library at 6 pm to explain the program’s objectives and stages in detail, stressing the Authority’s commitment to activating partnerships with all relevant state bodies and institutions to support and develop youth in vital fields. — KUNA
