IBPC Kuwait holds award ceremony to honor meritorious Indian students

The Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) Kuwait successfully hosted the 7th Meritorious Award Ceremony, celebrating the exceptional academic achievements of Indian students in Kuwait. The event, held in the presence of Indian Ambassador Dr Adarsh Swaika was attended by senior embassy officials, school principals, teachers, parents, students, and IBPC members.

The ceremony was hosted by a number of young students from various Indian schools, reflecting the enthusiasm and brilliance of the student community. A total of 141 students who scored 96 percent and above in their Class X and Class XII board examinations (2024) were honored for their academic excellence.

Additionally, the Best Performing School Awards were presented to:

•Indian Educational School (Bhavans Kuwait) – Best Performing School for Class X

•Indian Community School Kuwait – Best Performing School for Class XII

In his keynote address, IBPC Chairman CA Kaizar T Shakir delivered a powerful and motivating speech, urging students to embrace perseverance, continuous learning, and ethical values as the true drivers of success. He emphasized that while academic excellence is a great milestone, character and resilience are what truly shape future leaders.

Dr Swaika congratulated the awardees and praised their dedication, highlighting the importance of education in strengthening the India-Kuwait relationship and contributing to a brighter future. The event was formally opened by IBPC Joint Secretary Sunit Arora, who welcomed the guests and also delivered vote of thanks, appreciating all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the ceremony. He was the man behind the event’s seamless execution.

The program was efficiently coordinated and supported by the IBPC Executive Committee Vice Chairman Gaurav Oberoi, a strong advocate for progressive initiatives, played a pivotal role in organizing the event. Secretary Suresh K P, known for his strategic planning and leadership, ensured smooth execution. Treasurer Krish Suryakant, with his financial expertise, helped manage the event’s logistics and sponsorships. IBPC extended its heartfelt gratitude to all participating schools, parents, and students. IBPC Kuwait remains committed to engaging, encouraging, and empowering Indian professionals, businesses, and students in Kuwait, further strengthening the India-Kuwait bond in education, trade, and cultural exchange.
