KUWAIT: The Gardenia popup exhibition opened its doors Monday evening at the Kuwait National Museum, offering a rich and diverse program of artistic and cultural events in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL). Running until February 25, the exhibition aligns with Kuwait’s 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day celebrations, as well as its designation as the Capital of Arab Culture and Media 2025.

Mohammed bin Redha, Assistant Secretary-General for the Antiquities and Museums Sector at NCCAL, emphasized the exhibition’s role in enhancing Kuwait’s art scene and fostering cultural exchange. He highlighted its focus on painting, sculpture, and music, providing a platform for emerging artists to showcase their talent and connect with the public.

Promoting sustainable outdoor living, the exhibition features a unique mix of art displays, musical performances, and interactive workshops, bridging the gap between culture and nature. Visitors can explore an exclusive collection of paintings and artifacts from the National Center for Culture, enjoy live folkloric performances, and participate in seminars on garden lighting design and urban planning. According to Bashar Al-Salem, the architect and founder of Gardenia, the exhibition has evolved beyond its original focus on landscape and garden design to include music, visual arts, and educational courses.

With over 70 participants, including restaurants and youth entrepreneurs, the Gardenia popup Exhibition brought together a diverse mix of talent and creativity. As a landmark of history and heritage, the Kuwait National Museum provided the perfect setting for this event, as it illuminated with the soft glow of ambient lights and greenery-inspired exhibits. Home to the Archaeological Discoveries Exhibition, Folklore Exhibition, and an advanced Planetarium, the museum not only showcased Kuwait’s rich past but also served as a bridge between tradition and contemporary creativity.
