Delegation of Turkish academics visits Kuwait Times and Kuwait News

KUWAIT: A delegation of Turkish academics specializing in Middle Eastern politics and international relations visited Kuwait Times and Kuwait News offices, on Saturday, to gain deeper insights into Kuwait’s landscape and the regional dynamics. The delegation included Dr Yusuf Keskin, an esteemed academic in Middle Eastern politics and international relations in Turkey, along with his colleagues the researcher Dr Mehmet Rakipoglu and head of department of political science and international relations Dr Necmettin Acar.

The professors engaged in an insightful discussion with Kuwait Times’ Deputy Managing Editor, Faten Omar, exploring regional issues and political trends shaping the Middle East today. During their visit, the Turkish professors toured Kuwait Times printing facility, where they were accompanied by Head of the printing department Al-Watheq Bellah Darwish. They observed the advanced printing machines in operation and engaged in a conversation about the history of the printing press. Al-Watheq explained the intricate printing process, from editorial production to final newspaper distribution.

The delegation delved into a range of topics, including the evolving role of Kuwait in international affairs, and the impact of global politics on the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of continued academic and journalistic dialogue to deepen understanding.
