KUWAIT: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah welcomed Mohamed Abdellnabaoui, President of the Court of Cassation and Delegate President of the High Council of the Judiciary of the Kingdom of Morocco, at Bayan Palace, along with his accompanying delegation, during their visit to Kuwait.

The meeting was attended by Adel Majid Bouresli, President of Kuwait’s Supreme Judicial Council and head of the Court of Cassation, as well as Ali bin Isa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Kuwait.

This meeting was part of Abdellnabaoui’s ongoing visit to Kuwait, which included a series of discussions aimed at strengthening Moroccan-Kuwaiti judicial ties. Earlier this week, Abdellnabaoui met with Bouresli, where the two officials explored ways to enhance judicial cooperation between their countries. These talks, also attended by the Moroccan Ambassador to Kuwait, resulted in an agreement to deepen collaboration in training programs and the exchange of expertise.

The discussions also focused on adopting best practices in judicial matters and led to the drafting of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to outline the areas of future cooperation, according to a press release from Maghreb Arabe Press (MAP).

Additionally, Abdellnabaoui held talks with Counselor Nasser Al-Sumait, Kuwait’s Minister of Justice, where they explored further strengthening judicial ties in line with the longstanding relationship between Morocco and Kuwait, as guided by the leadership of both nations. Abdellnabaoui also met with Attorney General Saad Al-Safran to discuss enhancing collaboration between the judicial authorities of the two countries.

Judicial ties between Kuwait and Morocco have been progressing for years. Last year, Abdellnabaoui visited Kuwait, where he met with Bouresli to further discuss judicial cooperation, reflecting a shared interest in strengthening relations. In 2018, both countries signed a work program in Marrakech to implement a cooperation protocol. Spanning two years, the program focused on training judicial personnel, organizing joint scientific forums, and exchanging legal publications. These efforts continue to foster collaboration in various areas, including documentation and information management. — Agencies
