KUWAIT: Kuwait Times and Kuwait News welcomed a delegation from the International Women’s Group (IWG) on Tuesday, comprising several ambassadors’ wives who visited to learn about the newspapers’ operations and editorial processes. The delegation included Polina Dlamini, President of the IWG and wife of the ambassador of Eswatini, Laura Duclaud Vilares, wife of the ambassador of Mexico and Baigalmaa Bayantsagaan, wife of the ambassador of Mongolia.
During the visit, the group toured various departments, including the newsroom, studio, printing press and warehouse. They were briefed on the news-gathering process and the Kuwait Times’ role in covering local and international news.



The ambassadors’ wives also participated in an interactive studio session, creating a video highlighting their countries’ unique traditions. They shared insights about traditional cuisine, language and cultural heritage, offering a glimpse into the rich diversity of their nations. The International Women’s Group (IWG) is a non-profit organization in Kuwait established in 1989 by Hanneke Veling, wife of the Dutch ambassador to Kuwait. The group’s mission is to promote culture, tradition and knowledge-sharing among female ambassadors and ambassadors’ wives of all nationalities accredited to Kuwait.
