KUWAIT: Yarmouk Cultural Center hosted Jazz Music Night on Sunday in collaboration with the US Embassy in Kuwait. In her opening remarks, US Ambassador to Kuwait Karen Hideko Sasahara welcomed guests and celebrated the power of music in strengthening cultural ties between the United States and Kuwait.
“We are honored to host the Aurora Healy Jazz Quintet, who has traveled all the way from New Orleans to share their incredible music with us here in Kuwait,” the ambassador said, expressing her appreciation for the performers. Highlighting the universal nature of music, Sasahara emphasized its role in cultural diplomacy. “Music has a profound ability to transcend borders, connect hearts, and bring people together. It speaks a universal language that resonates deeply with all of us,” she noted.

She concluded her speech by saying, “As we enjoy tonight’s performance, let us celebrate the unity and joy that music brings into our lives.” The event underscored the strong cultural ties between the United States and Kuwait, showcasing the enduring friendship between the two countries through jazz.
