Kuwait’s artistic gymnastics team head to Baku

BAKU: The Kuwaiti Youth Artistic Gymnastics Team will organize a training camp in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, starting Tuesday as part of a long preparation plan for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games to be held in the Senegalese capital, Dakar.

The team’s delegation left the country Monday afternoon for Baku, and the delegation includes team administrator Khalid Al-Madhan, Ukrainian coach Vitaly Arsenyev, and players Abdullah Behbahani, Mousa Al-Sahaf and Saud Al-Rudaini. The 10-day camp comes as part of the plan set by the Kuwait Olympic Committee in cooperation with the Gymnastics Federation, which aims to prepare the players in the best way for the Olympics.

In this context, President of the Gymnastics Federation Fahad Al-Soula thanked the President of the Olympic Committee Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser, the Acting Director of the Public Authority for Sport Bashar Abdullah, and the head of the Women’s Sports Committee in the Olympic Committee Fatima Hayat for their interest in the sport of gymnastics and their support for this game that has imposed itself strongly in international championships, stressing that the Federation continues to develop the game in its technical and rhythmic sections to be one of the most prominent games that make achievements in the name of Kuwait.
