KUWAIT: The Ministry of Interior launched its official news channel on the WhatsApp application on Saturday. This initiative aims to enhance communication with the public by delivering important security updates and awareness messages directly to both citizens and residents.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Nasser Bou Saleeb, the Director General of the General Department of Security Relations and Media, explained that the launch of the WhatsApp channel aligns with the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. The initiative is intended to improve the ministry’s services and provide the public with easier access to its updates and official messages.
Bou Saleeb emphasized that the Ministry is committed to using all available communication channels to reach a broad audience. The WhatsApp channel is a key part of this strategy, aiming to strengthen the ministry’s connection with media outlets, social media platforms, and the general public. The channel will focus on delivering official messages concerning security, safety, and public awareness, ensuring that the information shared is both accurate and reliable.
This new communication tool will make important updates, security alerts, and educational content more easily accessible to all community segments, further enhancing the Ministry’s ability to engage and inform the public. — KUNA
