Al Serkal praise development of Kuwait equestrianism

KUWAIT: Emirati rider Mohammed Jassim Al Serkal praised the remarkable development of Kuwaiti equestrianism in general and dressage in particular in the recent period, thanks to the organization of many tournaments with the support and patronage of Sheikha Fajr Badr Al-Sabah and Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, and in the presence of fans interested in this sport in Kuwait.

“I decided to visit Kuwait last week to meet Sheikha Fajr Badr Al-Sabah, whom I have known for many years, specifically since the beginning of my equestrian career, and since then we have been working and aspiring to build a strong Arab community in equestrianism, as Sheikha Fajr and her husband Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah are the founders of Equiciety, a breeding and sports program for horses, and some talented stallions and high performance mares were bred,” said Al Serkal.

“Thanks to Kuwait for the hospitality and love of equestrianism and having so many aspiring dressage riders in Kuwait, I am really excited to see the developments that will take place in the near future. During my visit to Kuwait, I met some amazing Kuwaiti riders, their passion for dressage and building a stronger community with a clear focus on the basics was amazing.

“Two of them I quickly became close to, Abdullah Al-Amer and Ibrahim Ismail, and I thank them for showing me everything about Kuwait.” Al Serkal attended a seminar at Sahara Equestrian Resort led by dressage rider Diana Al Shaer, as Diana also serves as our dressage delegate to the FEI’s Group VII for Arab countries, linking the sport of dressage to the growth of dressage in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Al Serkal was accompanied by Sheikha Fajr Badr Al-Sabah, Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and riders Abdullah Al-Amer and Ibrahim Ismail, where he expressed his happiness at the great development of Kuwaiti equestrianism.
