KUWAIT: The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Nader Al-Jallal, announced on Thursday the updated lists of distinguished higher education institutions that have been approved for the United States, the United Kingdom, and several European countries.

In a press statement published by Kuwait News Agency, Minister Al-Jallal explained that the updated lists include distinguished institutions for both undergraduate and graduate programs in the US, as well as specialized programs in the UK and various European countries. These institutions are accredited by the Ministry for Kuwaiti students’ scholarship programs and for those choosing to study abroad independently.

The European countries whose lists were updated include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

The minister emphasized that the decision to update these lists is part of the ministry’s commitment to ensuring the quality of education provided to students. By offering a strong academic environment that aligns with the needs of both local and international labor markets, the update aims to contribute to the development of a skilled national workforce in various fields.

The updated lists are based on a thorough evaluation of the institutions by the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education, which adheres to global standards for scientific and research excellence.

Minister Al-Jallal also advised students interested in studying at distinguished institutions to regularly check the updated lists before enrolling, ensuring they are pursuing high-quality education that meets the demands of the rapidly advancing fields of science and technology. He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting students and providing guidance throughout their academic journey, stressing that investment in higher education is crucial to building a knowledge-based society and strengthening Kuwait’s position on the global education map.

Dr Jasem Al-Ali, Director General of the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education, encouraged students, parents, and relevant entities to visit the official website of the bureau for the latest updates and to ensure compliance with the accreditation standards.
