Our Arab nation, once the source of pride and glory, is now in the midst of a rebirth. Today, it is like a fetus, celebrated for its potential arrival, yet still an unknown entity—its characteristics, its gender, and its future uncertain.
Our Arab world finds itself in labor, and the duration of this process remains unclear. What we do know is that there are many awaiting the birth of this new era. It’s akin to a woman in labor, having despaired for so long of the possibility of pregnancy, now surrounded by midwives, each with their own agenda for the child to come. Some wish for a stillbirth, some for a child born with limitations, while others hope for a healthy newborn that symbolizes hope for the future.
Neither we nor our ancestors have experienced such a moment. Our nation is on the verge of re-emerging into the global stage, but will it take its rightful place among the world’s nations, or will it once again fall into dependency on foreign powers? This is the prenatal conflict we face today.
For decades, we have been beset by enemies, the most dangerous of whom have been those within our own ranks. These are individuals who, though they claim to represent us, have followed the influence of others—those who sold themselves to the historical enemies of our nation. They became distracted by our sacrifices while waging war against us, and under their rule, we witnessed the birth of a nation of humiliation, a nation with a single ruler and a symbolic leader, a nation reduced to trading in hollow slogans for malicious purposes.
The birth we longed for was delayed. The tyrants have either died or fled, and the fetus of our nation remained in the womb of time. But now, we are in a different world. All signs suggest that labor is imminent—whether it will be true or false labor, only time will tell.
Today, we see signs of a much-anticipated birth. But those waiting for the outcome come from different camps. There are foreign recruits, dreamers of absolute power, and imitators. On the other hand, there are those who yearn for justice, equality, and shared power, as well as defenders of freedom who despise living in servitude and humiliation.
All we hope is that the newborn will be greeted by the nurturing hands of a nation that has experienced this rebirth before—a nation where justice, freedom, and equality reigned. It was these very values that revived the Arab world, setting a model for equality among all humans. This is the birth humanity once knew and loved, and still hopes to see again. But there are those who understand it as well—those who stand against it, fighting to delay its arrival. It is the eternal struggle between right and wrong.
The time has come for the truth to emerge. The age of darkness has lasted long enough. It is time for the light to be born once again.
