KUWAIT: First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, emphasized that Kuwaiti women in the military have proven their ability and competence by effectively handling military responsibilities, whether in field operations, administration, or technical roles.

This statement was made following a visit to the Women’s Police Institute, where he was received by Assistant Undersecretary for Education and Training, Major General Fawaz Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Director General of the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences, Brigadier General Ali Al-Wahib, and Director of the Women’s Police Institute, Colonel Iman Boland, along with several leaders from the Education and Training Sector.

Sheikh Fahad emphasized the importance of enhancing the educational and training environment within the security institution to keep pace with technological and digital advancements, utilizing modern knowledge to hone the skills of the institute’s graduates. He pointed out that such development would contribute to empowering women’s active participation in supporting national security and contributing to security efforts.

He expressed pride in the competence of Kuwaiti women and their significant role in various sectors of the security institution, urging them to continue their efforts to elevate security work.

During his visit, Sheikh Fahad toured the facilities to monitor the progress of the educational process and military training. He also held discussions with the students, listening to their opinions and feedback. Additionally, he was briefed on the history of the Women’s Police Institute, its roles and responsibilities, its achievements, and its future goals, as well as the advancements made in training and preparing female personnel to serve security and the nation. — KUNA
