MANAMA: Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, met with her Bahraini counterpart, Ambassador Dr Arwa Al-Sayed, to discuss enhancing cooperation between Kuwait and Bahrain in the field of human rights, with a particular focus on women’s issues. The meeting took place at the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs during Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher’s visit to Bahrain to attend the Global Women Economic Forum & Exhibition, which began on Monday.
The two diplomats explored ways to strengthen Kuwaiti-Bahraini relations and discussed opportunities for joint coordination and the exchange of expertise in human rights. They also addressed the alignment of international and regional positions and ways to enhance their cooperation in these areas.
Additionally, Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher held a separate discussion with Ambassador Dr Munira bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Academy for Diplomatic Studies, to address joint initiatives aimed at advancing cooperation in training related to human rights and women’s diplomacy. — KUNA
