Czech ambassador visits Kuwait Times and Kuwait News

KUWAIT: The Ambassador of the Czech Republic Juraj Chmiel visited Kuwait Times and Kuwait News offices on Sunday, where he was warmly welcomed and given an in-depth tour by Public Relations and CSR Manager Jana Alnaqeeb.

During the visit, Chmiel explored various departments, gaining insight into the day-to-day operations and processes that drive Kuwait Times’ production. He was also engaged in a productive discussion with Kuwait Times Managing Editor Shakir Reshamwala on various aspects of his diplomatic journey. Throughout the tour, Archivist and Content Creator Yousef Abu Ghazaleh provided the ambassador with valuable insights into the history of Kuwait Times, the first English-language daily newspaper in Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf. He showed him articles and news about the Czech Republic that were published in the newspaper’s old issues.

The Kuwait Times and Kuwait News team also guided the ambassador on a tour of the printing press, where the Head of the Printing Department Al-Watheq Bellah Darwish explained the operation of printing machines used to produce daily newspapers. In addition, he visited the warehouse, which houses a mix of vintage printing equipment and modern art.

In the end, the ambassador was taken to the Kuwait Times’ studio, where Content Creator Dhoha Al-Issa recorded a short video of the ambassador for social media, where he highlighted the culture of the Czech Republic.
