Indian Embassy celebrates World Hindi Day

Indian Embassy in Kuwait organized World Hindi Day celebrations on January 10, 2025 at the Embassy auditorium. Various competitions in Hindi were organized by different CBSE schools in Kuwait whose winners were awarded. A special message by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was read out on the occasion. Hindi prose was read and poems were recited by principals of Indian schools, students, teachers and Kuwaiti nationals. Principals of Indian schools, teachers and community members spoke at the event in Hindi.

The Embassy also organized an open social media contest of Hindi speaking for Kuwaiti nationals as part of World Hindi Day celebrations. Participating Kuwaiti nationals were felicitated during the celebrations. Kuwaiti singer Mubarak Alrashed, well-known among the Indian community for his love for Indian music and culture, rendered a few evergreen Bollywood songs. Taking everyone present by surprise, two Kuwaiti citizens spoke quite fluently in Hindi on stage.
