Kuwaiti ambassador presents credentials to Azerbaijan’s president

BAKU: Kuwait’s Ambassador to Baku, Mohammad Al-Mutairi, presented his credentials as Kuwait's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on Friday. In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Kuwaiti Embassy in Baku reported that Ambassador Al-Mutairi conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, to President Aliyev during the official credential ceremony held at the presidential palace in Baku.

During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Mutairi expressed Kuwait’s sincere desire to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. He emphasized the aim to elevate the relationship to the highest level across all fields and to collaborate on common issues, including those on the United Nations agenda.

Ambassador Al-Mutairi also congratulated President Aliyev on Azerbaijan’s successful hosting and organization of the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29).

In response, President Aliyev praised the distinguished political relations between the two countries and expressed his eagerness to further enhance cooperation both bilaterally and through multilateral efforts. He also expressed Azerbaijan’s appreciation for Kuwait’s participation in the UN Climate Change Conference and noted the high level of representation, with Kuwait’s delegation being led by His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, which reflects Kuwait’s commitment to supporting Azerbaijan’s success in hosting this important event. — KUNA
