KUWAIT: Acting Secretary General of Kuwait University and official spokesman for the university Dr Mishari Al-Aifan emphasized the university’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the relevant regulatory bodies to raise the level of educational standard in the country. Dr Al-Aifan issued a press statement on Thursday following the visit of a delegation of leaders from the Audit Bureau, the Fatwa and Legislation Department, the Financial Control Authority and the Ministry of Finance to Sabah Al-Salem University City.

"The visit comes within the framework of enhancing fruitful cooperation between the parties and supporting the university’s efforts in meeting the needs of the local community and achieving sustainable development goals in line with the lofty vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah,” Dr Al-Aifan said. He added that the visit also aims to review the University City and the projects it has executed and to learn about its mission, vision and role as an educational institution. He expressed his happiness with the visit of the delegation to the university campus as the campus represents a milestone in the country’s development process and a civilized symbol of science and knowledge.

The visit contributes to enhancing fruitful cooperation and common goals in serving Kuwait, he said, indicating that it reflects the extent of their interest and support for the university as a leading educational institution that seeks to meet the needs of community members and achieve their aspirations, he said.

In the context, the visiting delegation praised the efforts made by the university administration in moving to Sabah Al-Salem University City and operating it, where views were exchanged on how to complete projects within the campus. The delegation said the efforts reflect the spirit of fruitful cooperation between governmental and academic institutions.

The delegation members stressed the need to continue establishing strategic partnerships that contribute to achieving common goals, which will positively reflect on the national development process, noting that this visit represents a vital opportunity to enhance sustainable cooperation in order to serve the country and citizens.
