KUWAIT: The Ministry of Interior organized Wednesday a public lottery for students who met the registration and admission requirements for specialized courses (Assistant Officer and Sergeant), in collaboration with the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. The lottery resulted in the acceptance of 209 applicants.
The General Department of Relations and Security Media at the Ministry stated in a press release that the lottery was held under the patronage of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and under the guidance of the Deputy Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salim Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The statement added that the number of applicants who passed the registration and admission requirements was 472, and 209 applicants were selected in the public lottery, along with 15 applicants placed on the reserve list. The specialized courses announced include the “Assistant Officer Course,” which will last for two years. Training will take place at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, along with one semester at the Police Academy to enhance the security and practical aspects.
The second course is the “Sergeant Course,” focusing on the specialization of “Security at Border Crossings.” It will last for one year, with training taking place at the Applied Education Authority, along with an additional semester at the Police Academy. The ministry emphasized that these courses aim to prepare qualified national personnel who possess the necessary security and practical skills to support the Ministry’s efforts. It further stated that organizing the public lottery reflects the Ministry’s commitment to the principles of transparency and fairness among all applicants, ensuring the selection of qualified individuals who can contribute to strengthening the human resources within the ministry’s various sectors. — KUNA
