Al-Nouri Charity opens Abdulaziz Al-Babtain School in Yemen

ADEN: The Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity Society opened the “Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Kuwaiti School” on Sunday, in the district of Usaylan in the Shabwah governorate, eastern Yemen. This project, which includes five classrooms and its associated facilities, is part of an ongoing relief campaign dedicated to Yemen for the tenth consecutive year.

The school consists of five classrooms, equipped with school furniture, an administrative office, a teachers’ office, a storage room, bathrooms, and a cafeteria. In a statement during the opening ceremony, Ahmed Kirdah, Secretary-General of the Local Council of the Usaylan district, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Kuwait and its people for their continuous and unlimited support to the Yemeni people in the field of education and in various humanitarian sectors over the years. He also thanked the family of the late Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain and the Al-Nouri Charity Society for implementing this important project for the region’s residents.

Nasser Al-Shuraimi, Director of the Education Office in Usaylan, said “the Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain School will help alleviate the severe overcrowding of students in other schools and will provide an important opportunity for hundreds of students to receive education.” He praised the generous support provided by the family of the late Abdulaziz Al-Babtain to the educational sector in the district and urged the school administration to make the best use of the educational resources and facilities in the new building.

Mohammed Ali Saleem, Director of the “Istijabah Foundation,” which executed the project, explained that the initiative is part of a series of educational projects supported by the Al-Nouri Charity Society to provide educational opportunities for students across various Yemeni governorates in a suitable learning environment. — KUNA
