KALA (Art) announces ‘Niram 2024’ winners

KALA (Art) Kuwait has announced the winners of ‘Niram 2024’ Children’s Day painting competition held on December 6, 2024 at Indian Community School, Khaitan. The prize distribution ceremony will take place at Indian Community School, Khaitan on Friday, January 10 from 2pm onwards.

KALA (Art) Kuwait has been holding painting competition for the last 20 years continuously on the occasion of Children’s Day, the birthday of late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India. It is worthwhile to note more than 3,100 students of different nationalities from all 28 Indian schools in Kuwait participated in the competition.

The school managements as well as Indian community also voluntarily extended their entire support to the event. Winners of the competition titled have been adjudged by well-known artists Sasi Krishnan, Sunil Kulanada, Hari Chengannur, Mukundan Pzhanimal and Rajive.

Overall championship: 1st position - Indian Community School, Khaitan; 2nd Position – Indian Community School, Salmiya; 3rd Position- IES-Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, Abbasiya.
