KUWAIT: The Ministry of Health has continued its crucial role in safeguarding public health and safety during the Gulf Cup (Khaleeji Zain 26), ensuring that emergency medical services are readily available throughout the tournament, which is taking place from December 21 until January 3.
The ministry has deployed approximately 50 modern ambulances and 400 paramedics, stationed at key locations including Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah Stadium, training facilities for the participating teams, accommodations for delegations, and other designated sites such as the Murooj complex. This extensive medical support underscores Kuwait’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all involved in the event.
In addition, the Ministry of Interior has also been actively involved in ensuring the safety of the event. Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Ali Al-Adwani, emphasized the importance of coordination among various security agencies and ensuring the readiness of plans to address any emergencies. This statement came following a visit by Major General Al-Adwani to Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium.
According to the statement, Major General Al-Adwani affirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for the public, ensuring that the event proceeds smoothly and safely.
