KUWAIT: Reaffirming its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Boursa Kuwait has strengthened its strategic partnership with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society as a Humanitarian Partner, sponsoring the Society’s “Basic Education” initiative for the fourth consecutive year and its “College Education” initiative in 2024. The Kuwait Red Crescent Society’s “Basic Education” initiative aims to provide education for children from low-income families in Kuwait who face challenging living conditions. These circumstances often force families to deprive their children of an education because of the high costs of tuition fees. Meanwhile, the “University Education” initiative focuses on covering tuition fees for students at the Arab Open University, offering scholarships to support them throughout their academic journey.
Boursa Kuwait’s sponsorship of these initiatives stems from its firm belief in the vital role of education as a cornerstone of sustainable development and economic prosperity and has been a central pillar of the company’s Corporate Sustainability strategy since its inception. “Boursa Kuwait is proud to support initiatives that create a positive and lasting impact on the community. Our strategic partnership with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society reflects this commitment, and we are honored to sponsor the ‘Basic Education’ initiative for the fourth consecutive year, along with the ‘College Education’ initiative for 2024.
These efforts further strengthen our collaboration with the Society and its mission to improve living conditions and build a brighter future for Kuwaiti society. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society for its exceptional efforts and vital role in serving the community and implementing humanitarian projects within Kuwait and beyond,” said Senior Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication Naser Meshari Al-Sanousi.
The Kuwait Red Crescent Society is a humanitarian, volunteer-based organization dedicated to aiding and supporting the most vulnerable cases, whether arising from specific social circumstances, wars, or natural disasters, without discrimination based on religion, sect, nationality, gender, or race. Operating autonomously and serving as an auxiliary body to official authorities in humanitarian efforts, the society strives to promote the concept of social responsibility among private sector institutions, reinforcing their crucial role in supporting humanitarian causes.
Commenting on the continued partnership, General Manager of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society Abdulrahman Mohammad Al-Oun said: “The Kuwait Red Crescent Society takes great pride in its enduring partnership with Boursa Kuwait, a collaboration that exemplifies our shared commitment to improving the lives and creating a brighter future for individuals in Kuwaiti society. We value Boursa Kuwait’s unwavering support as one of the key contributors to our initiatives, setting a remarkable standard of leadership and generosity in advancing humanitarian and community-focused efforts.”
The Kuwait Red Crescent Society firmly believes in the power of partnerships to achieve its mission and implement impactful projects and initiatives that benefit civil society while fostering a strong sense of social responsibility. Additionally, the Society’s collaborations with the private sector are characterized by exceptional management and strategic planning, enabling the delivery of high-quality services to those in need. Boursa Kuwait’s sponsorship of these initiatives forms part of its efforts to create a lasting meaningful impact on the communities where it operates as part of its Corporate Sustainability strategy and is in line with Goal 4 – Quality Education – and Goal 10 – Reduced Inequalities - of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
