KUWAIT: In the presence of the President of the Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations, Engineer Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi, the International Sporting Clays Shooting Championship concluded Saturday, which was held at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex under the patronage of the President of the International Sporting Clays Federation, Jean-François Palinkas which was held over three consecutive days during the period from 19 to 21 December 2024 with the participation of Kuwait Shooting Sport Club shooters.

Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi, President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations - and Honorary Member of the International Sporting Shooting Federation (FITASC) and Obaid Manahi Al-Osaimi, Secretary General of the Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations, distributed the prizes to the winning shooters.

In his speech, President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations praised the level of the sporting shooters in Kuwait who participated in this tournament and praised the support of the Public Authority for Sport and all the volunteers and referees who managed the tournament, and thanked Jean-François Palinkas - President of the International Sporting Federation, a friend of Kuwait shooting.

Al-Otaibi added that sporting shooting is in continuous development and attracts many shooters and international federations, and Kuwait Shooting Sport Federation is a member of the International Sporting Shooting Federation.

Engineer Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (may Allah protect him) and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah (may Allah protect him) for their unlimited support for this noble sport, and thanked all the organizations that supported the club in performing its mission to represent the State of Kuwait.

In a statement after the tournament, Obaid Manahi Al-Osaimi, Secretary General of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations, said that it is fortunate that our ceremony coincides with the first anniversary of the assumption of the reins of government of the country by His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah “may Allah protect him”, praying to the Almighty to bestow upon him the best of health and well-being to continue the process of goodness and giving for our dear country.

Al-Osaimi explained that the club prepared this tournament to encourage shooters to practice the sport of Sporting Clays in an organized manner according to the laws of the International Shooting Federation, as Kuwait is a member of this federation, and there are ready ranges in the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex that can host local, regional and international championships.

Al-Osaimi appreciated the role played by the organizing committee for the tournament, in which a large number of shooters competed honorably to win this championship.

Third place: Fahad Eid Al-Mutairi
