KUWAIT: Bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and Bahrain continues to deepen and grow across all sectors, benefiting both nations and their peoples, the Bahraini ambassador to Kuwait said.
Ambassador Salah Al-Malki praised Kuwaiti-Bahraini ties during a reception hosted by the Bahraini Embassy in Kuwait, celebrating the 53rd anniversary of Bahrain’s National Day and the 25th anniversary of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession to the throne, KUNA reported. The event was attended by Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, along with other senior officials and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Kuwait.
The ambassador described ties between Kuwait and Bahrain as strong and deep-rooted, highlighting the continued support from the leadership of both nations. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to strengthen their cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations.
Ambassador Al-Malki noted that Bahrain is steadily moving toward its foreign policy goals, which are based on principles of balance, moderation, cooperation, dialogue, and human coexistence. He also reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation, promoting peace, and advancing efforts to achieve sustainable development, protect human rights, and preserve the environment—efforts that strengthen Bahrain’s global standing. On this occasion, the ambassador extended heartfelt congratulations to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the people of Bahrain.
Kuwait’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, also extended his congratulations to Bahrain. In a statement to KUNA, he emphasized that Bahrain’s national celebrations are a cherished and significant occasion for the people of Kuwait.
"The human story in Bahrain deserves to be told and valued,” Sheikh Thamer said, commending Bahrain’s efforts to invest in its citizens, improve their quality of life, and create opportunities for personal growth, achievement, and long-term stability. These efforts are aimed at securing a better future for generations to come. He also emphasized Bahrain’s commitment to nurturing a generation with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to the nation’s progress.
Sheikh Thamer also acknowledged the historic ties between Kuwait and Bahrain. He described the relations as "a partnership of joy and sorrow” between the leaderships and peoples of both countries. "Kuwait celebrates Bahrain’s national holidays as its own; our joy and unity are one. With God’s will, our hearts will remain united for all time,” Sheikh Thamer said. He prayed for continued peace, security, and prosperity for both nations under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, wishing them both long life and good health.
