KUWAIT: Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior, met separately with several ambassadors accredited to Kuwait to discuss enhancing cooperation, particularly in security.

According to the Ministry of Interior, Sheikh Fahad held individual meetings with the Ambassadors of Mexico, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and Romania: Eduardo Patricio Peña Haller, Major General Syed Tareq Hussain, Ayubkhan Yunusov, and Mugurel Stănescu. During the discussions, Sheikh Fahad emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening relations with friendly nations, particularly in promoting regional security and stability. He highlighted the importance of diplomatic cooperation in achieving shared objectives.

The meetings also addressed various mutual interests, focusing on the latest regional and international developments. The ambassadors expressed appreciation for Kuwait’s pivotal role in regional security and reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to expanding cooperation in all areas.

Additionally, Sheikh Fahad met with a visiting UAE delegation to discuss security coordination between Kuwait and the UAE. The talks centered on enhancing security collaboration and ensuring the collective security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The UAE delegation commended the discussions as a means to reinforce bilateral ties and cooperation. UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Matar Al-Neyadi, and Colonel Mohammad Al-Sharaf from the Central Agency for Remedying Illegal Residents’ Status also attended the meeting. — KUNA
