ShareKUWAIT: Arkan Clinic celebrated achieving Canadian accreditation, making it one of the first medical clinics in Kuwait to earn this prestigious recognition. In his opening remarks, Dr Ziad Al-Alyan, Owner of Arkan Clinic, stated: “There are so many medical centers out there, yet we managed to maintain full transparency through significant challenges, especially those brought on by the pandemic. Now, just two years later, after full collaboration and obtaining all necessary licenses, we are celebrating this accreditation. This is no small feat for any clinic or hospital. Reflecting on the achievement, Dr Al-Alyan added: “Having worked in the medical industry for many years, I can confidently say that earning Canadian accreditation is a testament to tremendous effort and hard work. At some hospitals I’ve worked with, this process has taken four to five years.” He emphasized that Canadian accreditation is one of the most rigorous testing platforms, underscoring the outstanding quality and high standards upheld by the clinic and its team.
Canadian Ambassador to Kuwait Aliya Mawani praised the achievement. “This milestone underscores the strong partnership between Canada and Kuwait in the healthcare sector. It takes an enormous amount of work and effort, and it reflects Arkan Clinic’s commitment to setting the highest possible standards in patient care and outcomes,” she said. “I have witnessed firsthand the dedication of the staff and the exceptional collaboration within this team. Commenting on the clinic’s facilities, Ambassador Mawani remarked: “The facilities are beautiful, creating a comfortable patient atmosphere, far removed from the stereotypical doctor’s office or medical clinic. They’ve considered how people will feel in this space.”
Dr Suad Abel, Director of the Health Licensing Department, also praised the clinic, describing it as exceptionally well-designed and meticulously planned. “As the Medical Director of the Licensing Department, I can confidently say this is one of the highest-standard medical centers we’ve licensed in Kuwait. I am genuinely proud of what I’ve seen today — from the exceptional standards and advanced equipment to the seamless operations of the center.”
Dr Bichr El-Samad highlighted the significance of the accreditation, calling it a new chapter in the clinic’s journey of excellence defined by healthcare quality, safety and compassion. “We are deeply honored by the presence of Her Excellency the Canadian Ambassador. Your support and encouragement mean a great deal to us, and we are sincerely grateful.”
