KUWAIT: The Public Relations Committee of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the “Khaleeji Zain 26” tournament has completed its initial preparations to host the guests of the tournament. The committee has completed its initial preparations to host the guests of the tournament, after it completed an integrated plan at the end of last November, which includes providing all means of comfort for the brothers from the first day they enter Kuwait, until the time they leave their second country.
Sheikh Nasser Fahad Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Public Relations Committee, confirmed that the committee started its work early, in order to address any obstacles that may stand in its way or affect the proper conduct of its work, and said: “We formed several teams of volunteers, to carry out all the required tasks and duties, as there is a team of public relations will be present at the airport to receive guests, and other teams will be present at all hotels where the participating delegations reside, and for the referees’ committee, in addition to escorts for each team, and public relations members will be present in the VIP box of Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium and Jaber Mubarak Al Hamad to organize during tournament matches.”
He stated that members of the Public Relations Committee will be present around the clock throughout the days of “Khaleeji Zain 26”; in order to ensure the comfort of Kuwait’s guests, to provide them with the best services, and to overcome any obstacles they may encounter, stressing: “This is our duty, which we are proud to present in the best possible way.”
He praised the continued support of the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for “Khaleeji Zain 26”, and the follow-up of the President of the Kuwait Football Association Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef, saying: “The great support and continued encouragement by various leaders in all ministries facilitated our task a lot, and gave us a double responsibility that we hope to succeed in performing it in the best possible way.”
Abdullah Al-Adwani, head of the volunteer committee, said that the door for volunteering for Khaleeji Zain 26 closed last Thursday after the total number of volunteers reached more than 4,400. “Volunteers will play a vital role in the tournament, as they will provide various aspects of help and assistance to the fans, starting from facilitating their entry into the stadiums, being there for them during the matches for any emergency and facilitating their departure from the stadium,” Al-Adwani explained, adding: “We received the last batch of volunteers on Tuesday, and quite a few applicants were accepted after meeting all the required criteria,” he said, pointing out that a special training will be held for the last batch today (Wednesday), and there will be training for all volunteers next Friday and Saturday at Jaber International Stadium and Jaber Al Mubarak to prepare them optimally and distribute the tasks and duties to be carried out before and during the tournament.
