Girls gymnastics team to partake in championship

KUWAIT: The delegation of the Kuwaiti team for rhythmic gymnastics for girls left for Tunisia to participate in the Mediterranean Federation Championship, which will be hosted by the Tunisian capital from December 9 to 13, as this participation comes at the request of the Arab Gymnastics Federation to allow Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar to join this version of the championship.

The team’s delegation is headed by Fahad Al-Soula, president of the Arab and Kuwaiti Federations, and includes 5 players: Sarah Al-Bannai, Lian Behbahani, Raya Al-Qassar, Nabila Al-Kharafi and Amina Al-Kandari, along with Ukrainian coaches Irina Kovalchuk and Victoria Vysok, and administrator Loujain Al-Asfour.

The Mediterranean Federation Championship is considered one of the strong competitions in light of the participation of advanced countries in the game such as Spain, Portugal and Greece, in addition to several Arab countries, as this gathering is a suitable opportunity for Kuwaiti players to rub shoulders and gain experience.
