NEW DELHI: Kuwait Ambassador to India Meshal Mustafa Alshemali underlined on Sunday the keenness of Kuwaiti people on humanitarian activities after participating in a charity bazaar in New Delhi.
The statement came as the Embassy participated in an annual charity bazaar organized by the Delhi Commonwealth Women’s Association in the Indian capital. The event was held in collaboration with accredited diplomatic missions and under the supervision of India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
The Kuwaiti Embassy’s booth at the charity bazaar featured a wide array of local products, including food items, sweets, handicrafts, perfumes, and traditional Kuwaiti garments such as beshts and abayas. Several other Arab and foreign embassies based in New Delhi also participated, showcasing their diverse local products.
The proceeds from the bazaar will go towards supporting charitable initiatives, including providing assistance to needy families, orphanages, supplying school materials, and contributing to the treatment of critical diseases.
Alshemali added that Kuwait, both its leadership and people, have long been dedicated to doing good, and charitable humanitarian work has become one of the defining traits of Kuwaiti society. He also praised the efforts of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their ongoing support in making the Embassy’s participation in such events successful. — KUNA
