KUWAIT: At 1:30 pm on Friday, the first round of the fourth edition of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation League Championship will kick off at the Kuwait Equestrian Center in Subhan with the participation of riders from all local clubs, and the total financial prizes offered in this round for the winners of the first places are upto KD ten thousand.

The competitions of the first day “Friday” will start at heights of 70, 90, 105, 115, 115, 125 and 135 cm, with the competitions to be completed on Saturday, with 4 rounds at heights of 110, 120, 130 and the Grand Prix at a height of 140 cm.

Hayat praises support

President of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, Masoud Johar Hayat, stressed that Kuwaiti equestrianism is on the right path, and thankfully the federation has succeeded in organizing the local league championship in the past three seasons, and also organized many international championships in the two and three-star category under the supervision of the FEI, and there is a remarkable development in the technical level of the riders, and there are many riders competing strongly in all heights.

Masoud Hayat thanked the Public Authority for Sport (PAS)and private sector companies for their support of equestrian sports, which made the fans interact with the local tournaments.

There is a great turnout of fans in previous years and we look forward to more in support of our riders and encourage them to continue their good results. The President of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, Masoud Johar Hayat, congratulated Ali Al-Kharafi, who raised the name and flag of Kuwait high in foreign forums, the latest of which was winning the gold medal at a height of 145 cm at the conclusion of the Longines International Show Jumping Championship, which was held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The judging committee is headed by Nadhar Al-Mustafa, and the committee includes Nabila Al-Ali, Lama Abdel-Aal and Yulia Fronko, and the rider Yaqoub Al-Nasrallah is in charge of designing the track, assisted by Abdullah Al-Muhanna, and Badr Al-Heifi is a yard referee.

It is noteworthy that the rider of the Kuwait Equestrian Club, Ali Jassim Al-Kharafi, has won the title of all three local league championships that have been held since the establishment of the first local federation in the history of Kuwaiti equestrianism.

The General Assembly of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation will be held on Monday, December 16, to elect a board of directors to lead the federation in the next electoral cycle 2025-2028.

The current board of directors is headed by veteran athlete Masoud Johar Hayat, and includes Nabila Abdullah Al-Ali as secretary, Abdullah Waleed Al-Osaimi as deputy secretary, and the membership of Ali Jassim Al-Kharafi and Yousef Meshal Al-Sabah representing the riders' committee.
