KUWAIT: President of the Arab Tennis Federation (ATF) Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, announced that the 4th Arab Masters Tennis Tournament will be held in Manama from December 18 to 22, sponsored by Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) and KGL, with the participation of some of the best Arab players in the ATF and International Tennis Federation (ITF) rankings.
Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber said in a press release that the tournament will be held in cooperation with the Bahrain Tennis Federation, which welcomed the hosting of the fourth edition, explaining that the competitions will be held on the courts of the Public Security Officers Club in Manama, which has advanced sports facilities.
President of the ATF expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Bahrain Tennis Federation headed by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, and the management of the Public Security Officers Club, praising the efforts exerted by the Bahraini brothers to ensure the success of the tournament.
President of the ATF emphasized that the Arab Masters Tennis Tournament has become an important annual event in the federation’s calendar and the internationally ranked Arab players, due to the great successes and gains it has achieved in the previous three editions that in addition to its positive impact on the results achieved by the players with their teams in the Davis Cup, as well as its role in enhancing the winners’ ranking in the international rankings and giving them the opportunity to obtain the financial prizes through the “Wild Card” card provided by the Arab Federation for the champion of the competition in cooperation with the National Federations that organize the “ATF” tournaments.
In this context, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber expressed his anticipation for a special edition this year in cooperation with the Bahrain Tennis Federation, stressing the importance of this tournament in enhancing the level of competition among Arab players and raising their technical efficiency.
At the end of the statement, the President of the ATF thanked all participating players for their commitment and keenness to appear at an honorable level befitting the reputation of Arab tennis. He also called on fans of the game in Bahrain and abroad to follow the competitions, pointing out that the final match of the tournament will be broadcast live on BeIN Sports Qatar, which he praised for its cooperation and keenness to give fans the opportunity to watch high levels of Arab tennis.
