Kuwait honors martyred fireman

KUWAIT: Kuwait on Saturday laid to rest firefighter Abdullah Al-Farsi, who passed away on Friday while responding to a fire. He was buried at Sulaibikhat Cemetery. In a statement from the Fire Department, Maj Gen Talal Al-Roumi conveyed condolences on behalf of Acting Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah to Al-Farsi’s family.

“Today, Kuwait mourns a brave son who gave his life in service to his country,” Al-Roumi said after the funeral. He expressed pride in Al-Farsi’s sacrifice and offered prayers for strength and comfort for his family. The burial was attended by senior Kuwait Fire Force officials, as well as a large crowd of citizens and residents. — KUNA
