Burgan Bank sponsors women handball and volleyball teams

KUWAIT: Burgan Bank announced sponsoring the women’s handball and volleyball teams at Salwa Al-Sabah Sport Club during the fall/winter season; its latest effort to support the growth and development of Kuwait’s sports sector and the advancement of its athletic talents. This comes as part of Burgan Bank’s comprehensive social responsibility program and steadfast commitment to incorporating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into its operations and activities. It also reflects the Bank’s dedication to empowering Kuwaiti women to excel in their fields of interest and to represent the nation in the different regional and international arenas.

This sponsorship comes as an extension of Burgan Bank’s support for several women’s teams and individual female athletes, including Kuwaiti Olympians Amal Al-Roumi, Ameena Shah, Lara Dashti, Jude Tawfiq and Soaad Al-Faqaan, in addition to Kuwait Women’s Football League (KWFL). The Bank also continues to contribute actively to fostering a healthier lifestyle for Kuwaiti men and women of all ages by sponsoring mega sporting events, such as the Flare Festival.
