ABU DHABI: Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya delivered a written message from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. The message included an invitation for the UAE President to attend the upcoming Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit, scheduled to be hosted by Kuwait on December 1, 2024.
The meeting took place during the Foreign Minister’s visit to Abu Dhabi and was attended by the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The message also emphasized the strong and historical ties between the two countries and peoples.
Minister Al-Yahya departed Abu Dhabi to Oman where he was due to deliver a similar written message from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al-Said the Sultan of Oman.
Earlier Sunday, Minister Al-Yahya, received a written message from the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, regarding the strong brotherly relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields. This came during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Minister Al-Yahya was received by the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Kuwait Ali bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, on Sunday.
Ambassador meetings
Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, held discussions on Sunday at the Seif Palace with several ambassadors from brotherly and friendly countries to explore ways of enhancing mutual relations and cooperation.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef received, individually, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Kuwait Saleh Al-Kharousi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Kuwait Matar Al-Neyadi, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Kuwait Osama Shaltout, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Kuwait Sinan Al-Majali, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Kuwait Ali Bin Issa.
Sheikh Fahad also met with the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Kuwait Nusret Tsharshar, the Ambassador of Georgia to Kuwait Noshrevan Lomtatidze, South Korean Ambassador to Kuwait Park Chongsuk, the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Kuwait Rodrigo de Araujo Jabesh, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Kuwait Manuel Gamallo, and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Kuwait Juraj Chmiel.
The meetings included an exchange of views on a variety of mutual concerns and topics of interest. Additionally, the discussions focused on ways to strengthen the relationships and cooperation between Kuwait and these brotherly and friendly countries.
