Kuwait, Spain eye stronger cooperation in technology

KUWAIT: Minister of State for Communications Omar Al-Omar received Ambassador of Spain to Kuwait, Manuel Hernández Gamallo Sunday to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation. In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday, Minister Al-Omar said the two sides discussed opportunities for strengthening collaboration in the telecommunications and digital technology sectors. They also reviewed key future projects that could contribute to the development of these vital sectors in both countries.

He emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening relations with Spain, particularly in leveraging the country’s expertise in innovation and technology. The minister highlighted Kuwait’s recent participation in an annual communications conference held in Barcelona and underscored the importance of exchanging knowledge and expertise between the two nations. Ambassador Gamallo expressed his eagerness to further enhance the partnership with Kuwait, praising the advancements witnessed in the country’s telecommunications sector. — KUNA
