Kuwait underscores the significance of navigation fairs

MANAMA: The visiting President of Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation, Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah has affirmed that participation in international and regional fairs, where expertise in transport and aviation can be swapped to boosts the efforts for lifting the sector to higher levels. Sheikh Humoud was speaking to KUNA as he visited the pavilion of Kuwait Airways at the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) that kicked off on Wednesday.

The exhibition is held at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Al-Sakhir, with the participation of major global aviation, defense, and space companies. The DGCA has recently made diligent efforts to “open new horizons for cooperation between Kuwait and all states of the world in the sector of air navigation, thus bolstering its status at various quarters and enriching its strategic relations,” he said.

He lauded the broad participation in the exhibition and expressed admiration and congratulations to King Hamad bin Issa Al-Khalifa for organizing the successful event. For his part, (Capt) Abdulmohsen Al-Fegaan, the Kuwait Airways Chairperson, said the national carrier’s participation in the fair enabled it to present its achievements, namely the enlargement of its fleet. — KUNA
