KUWAIT: HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Shooting Championship will come to a close on Friday. Secretary General of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Obaid Munahi Al-Osaimi expressed his satisfaction towards the success of the championship, which witnessed the participation of a large number of shooters from Kuwait, the Gulf, and Arab countries. Al-Osaimi thanked HH the Crown Prince for his patronage. This, he said, motivated shooters to compete and record their desired achievements. He said competitions were very strong. Al-Osaimi congratulated Kuwait shooters for being at the top of the standings and wished them more success.

The results of Thursday’s events were as follows: In the women’s skeet competition, Eman Al-Shamma took the first position, followed by Afrah Adel (second) and Fatima Al-Zaabi (third). In the men’s skeet, Mohammad Nasser Al-Awad grabbed the first position, followed by Dhari Al-Daihani (second) and Saud Al-Kandary (third). In the 25-meter rapid pistol, Hassan Al-Failakawi secured first place; Talal Al-Shimmari (second) and Abdulwahab Al-Mulla (third).

Meanwhile, in the Arab Shotgun tournament that is being held alongside the HH the Crown Prince tournament, Kuwait grabbed first in the skeet event, followed by Qatar (second) and Bahrain (third). As for the men’s skeet event, Kuwait’s Saud Al-Kandary took first, Kuwait’s Abdulaziz Al-Saad (second), and Bahrain’s Tammar Al-Wutah (third). As for the team event, Kuwait grabbed the first position, Bahrain (second), and Oman took third.
