KRCS announces formation of new board of directors

KUWAIT: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced on Tuesday the formation of its new board of directors for the year 2024-2025, headed by Ambassador Khaled Al-Mughamis, with Dr Nasser Al-Tanak as vice chairman, Counselor Hamoud Al-Sanea as secretary general, Dr Latifa Al-Meer as treasurer and Yousef Al-Zaben, Fahd Al-Mandil, and Saud Al-Mukhaizeem as members.

Chairman of the society’s board, Ambassador Al-Mughamis, said in a press statement after the formation that the new board of directors is committed to working in a team spirit to exert all humanitarian efforts to meet urgent needs inside and outside the country. He stressed that the society continues its humanitarian efforts to relieve the afflicted around the world with the support and directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and with the solidarity and cooperation of humanitarian bodies and institutions in the country.

He explained that the society closely monitors current developments on the global scene and the accompanying humanitarian disasters, as it bears the responsibility of facing these challenges by developing plans and strategies to provide urgent humanitarian support and assistance to all those affected around the world.

Ambassador Al-Mughamis stressed that the association and its leadership and excellence in the fields of humanitarian work constitute an incentive for it to provide more aid, alleviate human suffering, and preserve human dignity. Regarding the relief bridge to Lebanon, Ambassador Al-Mughamis announced the launch of the fourth plane next Saturday under the directives of the political leadership and in cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Social Affairs. — KUNA
