Ghizlan Ali wins 10m air pistol in shooting event

KUWAIT: The first gold medal of HH Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Annual Shooting Tournament was won by Ghizlan Ali in the 10m air pistol event. The silver medal was won by Athari Al-Beloushi while the bronze went to Israa Bahman.

The tournament will kick off with the mixed trap, followed by the 10 meter rifle for men and women, that besides the official training of the skeet event.

Saudi Arabia’s Shooting Federation CEO Abdullah Al-Dousary said Saudi Arabia is participating with four shooters, with the aim of preparing shooters for upcoming events. He added that the tournament that is organized by Kuwait Shooting Federation provides the necessary interaction with experienced coaches and this will enhance their levels.

Al-Dousary said the Saudi Federation will organize several championships as Kuwait does and made significant achievements at the Olympic and international levels.

He appointed the major role of KSSF in outstanding organization. Meanwhile, Oman’s Shooting Federation Secretary General Hamad Al-Beloushi thanked Kuwait’s Federation for the organization of HH the Crown Prince tournament and the Arab Shotgun Shooting Tournament, as Kuwait has always brough Arab shooters together as Kuwait is considered the House of Arabs, due to the outstanding facilities it has, in addition to the experienced officials who are able to organize all important events.
