Showjumping competition begins today

KUWAIT: Messilah Equestrian Club (MEC) showjumping competition will start today at the Messilah club grounds in Subhan area. Competition will be for the heights 65, 85, 105, 115 and 125 cm, and will conclude with the main around at the height of 135 cm.

MEC Chairman Bader Al-Mailam said, “we seek to support all riders and our main goal is to improve the equestrian sport particularly the beginners whose numbers are on the increase day after day, and we organize these tournaments as a service to improve their technical levels”.

Rider Dalal Al-Obaid will head the tournament judges committee which include Lama Abdulal and Ibtisam Al-Arouri. Meanwhile, coach Adnan Al-Alawi from Bahrain will design the course with the assistance of Talal Al-Saeed. Dr Yahya Al-Hadban will be the field judge.
