KSSC declare CP shooting season open

KUWAIT: The Higher Organizing Committee of HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah annual Shooting Championship to be launched Saturday, completed its preparations to host the competitions with the participation of a large number of Gulf and Arab teams in addition to Kuwait team, and declare the shooting season open.

Secretary General of Arab and Kuwait Shooting Federations, Tournament Director Obaid Al-Osaimi distributed a circular to sub-committees that included some instructions about the organization and keenness to remove obstacles that may face participating teams.

Head of the Qatari delegation Ahmad Mubarak Al-Kawari team arrived in Kuwait two days ago to get ready for the tournament. He added “we were keen on being here in Kuwait to participate in the tournament which the Qatari team will enter in search for more achievements.

Al-Kawari said the Qatari team has 31 shooters and officials, and will participate in the trap and skeet and mix doubles with five shooters each, as the Qatari team includes shooters Nasser bin Salah Al-Atayah, Rashid Al-Hajiri, Mohammad Al-Kawari, Mohammad Al-Rumaihi and Rashid Al-Athba.

Al-Kawari said Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex is considered a world sports facility, and all Arab and Gulf countries are proud off, which is something that motivate shooters to exert extra effort.

On her part Kuwaiti Shooter Afrah Adel said Kuwait team is ready for competition bearing in mind the unlimited support by KSSC Chairman Engineer Duaij Al-Otaibi and the board members.

She said the tournament is of special importance for shooters as it bears the name of HH the Crown Prince. Adel expressed full confidence in Kuwaiti female shooters to make outstanding results at the season opening. She appreciated the major role of KSSF which removed all that is in the way for shooters preparations.
