IKEA, Suffix bring action, smiles with Little Heroes event

KUWAIT: This weekend, IKEA Kuwait and Suffix brought smiles, laughter, and plenty of action with the first-ever “Little Heroes” event, empowering the joy of movement and outdoor play for kids across Kuwait. Little Heroes, designed to inspire active and healthier lifestyles, welcomed over 800 young champions between the ages of 4-12 years and their families for two days of exciting races, playful challenges, and thrilling performances — all in a supportive, family-focused atmosphere.

Whether they’re sprinting down the track, scoring goals on the field, or simply soaking up the excitement, kids are inspired to get active, embrace the joy of play, and discover the fun of sports “At IKEA, we recognize that children are the most valuable part of our future, and we believe that play is vital for their growth — mentally, physically, and emotionally. We’re thrilled to bring Little Heroes to Kuwait, giving kids the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, get a taste of the Olympic spirit, and explore their love for sports,” said Sabrina Shammas, IKEA Sustainability Manager.

Little Heroes also reflects the commitment of IKEA towards supporting all families and children in Kuwait to have healthier and more active life outdoors. “Encouraging families to come together outdoors for a weekend of fun and wellness is just the start. We’re here to be a part of life’s important moments, big and small, and we will continue to bring our vision to inspire more sustainable, health-focused living through many events for your family and children,” said Elisa Albendea, IKEA Brand and CMI Director. “Little Heroes wouldn’t have been possible without the teamwork of our partners, Suffix. We thank the Suffix team for this partnership, and we are looking forward to many more years of Little Heroes with them,” concluded Albendea.

Participating in the event, the children were able to express their dreams and demonstrate their strengths, passion for sports, team collaborations, and ability to beat challenges. Ahmed Almajed, COO of Suffix, expressed immense pride in the Little Heroes event, where young participants showcased their talents and embraced the Olympic experience. “We were thrilled to see so many young participants engaging in the Olympic spirit. This initiative not only highlighted their remarkable skills but fostered a strong sense of community among families. It’s essential to teach them young — to instill values of perseverance, teamwork, and self-belief. Watching these young heroes thrive was truly inspiring. We believe this event created lasting memories and encouraged them to pursue their dreams,” said Almajed.
